Reformist Bloc Deems Patriotic Front Acceptable Partner
Sofia, October 22 (BTA) - After a meeting of the Reformist
Bloc's parliamentary group on Wednesday, Nayden Zelenogorski
said that the things in common between the Bloc and the
Patriotic Front were many more than their differences.
Zelenogorski, who is a member of the Bulgaria for the Citizens
Movement, said the Patriotic Front was acceptable as the Bloc's
coalition partner in a centre-right government.
The participants discussed options for a grand coalition or a
centre-right coalition. Zelenogorski said: "For us the solution
is a centre-right coalition. At this point we have no problem
with [left-wing] ABV supporting certain policies and positions,
but for us a coalition must be centre-right."
Korman Ismailov, leader of the People's Party for Freedom and
Dignity, which is part of the Reformist Bloc, said bilateral and
trilateral meetings were forthcoming, including with the
Patriotic Front. He said these meetings should be held this and
next week.
