"Arab Companies Show Investment Interest in Bulgaria," Bulgarian-Arab Business Association Chairman Says
Pomorie, on the Black Sea, October 22 (BTA) - "A number of Arab
companies show investment interest in Bulgaria. The visa problem
is an obstacle to the flow of substantial investments into this
country," said Bulgarian-Arab Business Association Chairman
Ziad El Masri. He is taking part in the Second International
Investment Forum "The New Economy of Bulgaria - The Way to the
East," which is taking place here between October 22 and 24.
El Masri specified that the Arab companies are interested in
projects related to seaside tourism in Bulgaria, livestock
breeding, etc. He said that more than 7,000 Kuwaiti tourists
visited the Bulgarian seaside during the past year. Of them,
nearly 3,800 were newcomers to this holiday destination. El
Masri told the forum that more than 19 Bulgarian companies are
supplying workforce for infrastructure construction in Qatar,
which prepares to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Taking part in the three-day event in Pomorie are nearly 70
Bulgarian and foreign companies, as well as ambassadors and
representatives of the diplomatic missions of Vietnam,
Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, China, Russia,
Turkey, Romania, Estonia and Belarus.
For the first time this year, the forum comes complete with a
trade and industrial exhibition in which participating Bulgarian
and foreign companies present their goods and services.
