Patriotic Front Ready to Propose
Working Cabinet if Two Largest
Forces Fail
Sofia, November 3 (BTA) - Patriotic Front (PF) representatives
said at Monday's consultations with the President that the
coalition was ready to accept a mandate and form a working
government made up of professionals if the two largest political
forces failed to do so, the Front's Co-Chairman Krassimir
Karakachanov said.
President Rosen Plevneliev is holding consultations with the
parliamentary forces before giving a mandate for the formation
of a cabinet.
Karakachanov said: "To us it is important to have priorities
clearly outlined to the nation and a governance programme of the
next cabinet. We have not claimed any ministerial portfolios,
our leaders' political participation in the government is not
important to us."
Karakachanov said the Patriotic Front had not seen yet the
governance programme which is being elaborated by GERB and the
Reformist Bloc. The PF needs to see it to decide if it matches
its views on the cabinet's priorities and to voice its position.
On Tuesday Plevneliev will be holding consultations with the
parliamentary groups of the Reformist Bloc and the Movement for
Rights and Freedoms. PK/DD
