Boyko Borissov Elected Prime Minister

Sofia, November 7 (BTA) - The 240-seat Bulgarian Parliament
Friday elected Boyko Borissov Prime Minister by a vote of
149-85, with no abstentions.

Presenting the nominee, GERB Deputy Floor Leader Tsvetan
Tsvetanov said that given the country's dire economic situation,
the Prime Minister would face serious challenges. "The
responsibility is huge but I am certain that Mr Borissov has the
firm will and resolve and the dedication to work for pulling
the country out of this deep crisis."

Tsvetanov also said: "I believe that together with the Council
of Ministers' team, with the parliamentary support the future
government received today, we will be able to achieve political
and institutional stability."
