Klitschko Knocks out Pulev
in 5th Round
Hamburg/Sofia, November 16 - World heavyweight champion Vladimir
Klitschko knocked out Bulgarian challenger Kubrat Pulev with a
fierce left hook in the fifth round on Saturday to retain his
International Boxing Federation title and end his opponent's
unbeaten record.
Klitschko has improved his record to 63 wins out of his 66
fights with 54 knockouts.
Klitschko also holds the World Boxing Organization, the
International Boxing Organization and the World Boxing
Association titles.
Klitschko will get 5.7 million US dollars for the victory and
Pulev - 1.4 million dollars.
The match was played before a 16,000 audience, including several
thousand Bulgarians, at 02 Arena World Hall in Hamburg.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated Pulev
after the match. The Bulgarian boxer has demonstrated courage
and deserves "praise and respect, Borissov wrote in Facebook.
