French President, Prime Minister Thank Bulgarian PM for Support  Expressed after Terrorist Attacks

Sofia, March 12 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has
received letters from French President Francois Hollande and
Prime Minister Manuel Valls in which they express gratitude for
Bulgaria's support declared after the terrorist attacks in
France in early January, the Government Information Service said
 Thursday.

In his letter, the French head of State thanks Borissov for his
message of sympathy, solidarity and fraternity to France at a
moment when the country was hit by a horrific act of aggression,
 which affected the statehood and democracy. Democracy means
freedom of speech, thought and creative work, as well as
pluralism and diversity, the letter reads. "France will not
yield to obscurantism and I will continue to carry on its
behalf, both on the national and the international scene, our
main values such as freedom, tolerance, justice and peace,"
Hollande says.

The French Prime Minister says in his letter that he has been
touched by Borissov's attested solidarity and sympathy after the
 attacks of January 7 and 9 in France. "These sickening crimes
are an unprecedented challenge to the very foundations of the
French Republic and the comprehensive character of human
rights," the letter reads. Valls expresses his certainty that in
 tragic circumstances the people should remain united so as to
beat terrorism. The many rallies in memory of the terrorist
attacks' victims organised in France and around the world prove
the unity and solidarity of the international community in the
face of the challenge, he says.

"Thank you for the support expressed by you: only together we
can repulse the threats which try to infringe upon our freedom,"
 the French Prime Minister says in his letter to Borissov.
