BSP Leader Mikov: Government Stands between Money and People

Sofia, March 26 (BTA) - "The government is obssessed with
placing itself where the big money is, but it doesn't busy
itself with using it to make the lives of all Bulgarians better
and more dignified," says Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader
Mihail Mikov in a Facebook post, quoted by the BSP press
centre.

Mikov is reacting to an apparent discrepancy between the
incumbents' arguments for a new debt issue, the need to cut
public spending and the self promotion that in 2015 the Borissov
cabinet has collected 800 million leva more in public revenues.

"If the revenue figures are accurate, how will the incumbents
explain the calculations that they used to indebt Bulgaria with
16 billion leva," asked Mikov.

"If this money does exist, then it either appeared suddenly in
the past two weeks, or someone did not do their maths correctly
by indebting the country with 16 billion leva," the post reads.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that public
revenues collected so far in 2015 increased by 820 million leva
compared with the like period of 2014.
