Mt Rila Fire Fully Localized and Contained

Kyustendil, Southwestern Bulgaria, July 27 (BTA) - The fire in Mt Rila has been fully localized and contained, local police sources said on Monday.

Two critical points remain, which will be handled by 111 firefighters from Kyustendil.

A helicopter, specialized machines and service people from the Bulgarian Armed Forces continue to aid the effort to extinguish the remaining outbreaks, Defence Ministry sources said.

Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev had ordered the Armed Forces to continue to render assistance until the fire has been fully extinguished.
