Managers Say More Unfavourable Business Climate In Industry, Retail Trade and Services In July

Sofia, July 28 (BTA) - In July 2015 the total business climate
indicator decreased by 1.8 percentage points compared to its
level from the previous month, which is due to the more
unfavourable business climate in industry, retail trade and the
service sector, the National Statistical Institute reported
Tuesday.

The composite indicator "business climate in industry" decreased
by 2.9 percentage points in comparison with June, mainly due to
the worsening managers' expectations about the business
situation of the enterprises over the next six months. At the
same time, the inquiry also registered more unfavourable
forecasts about the export and the production activity over the
next three months.

The composite indicator "business climate in construction"
increased by 0.6 percentage points, due to the improved
construction entrepreneurs' assessments about the present
business situation of the enterprises. In their opinion, the
present construction activity is improved in comparison with the
previous month, but their forecasts over the next three months
are more reserved.

The composite indicator "business climate in retail trade"
decreased by 0.6 percentage points in comparison with June,
which is due to the more moderate retailers' expectations about
the business situation of the enterprises over the next six
months. However, their forecasts concerning the volume of sales
and orders placed with suppliers over the next three months
remain optimistic, though more reserved compared to the previous
 month.

In July the composite indicator "business climate in service
sector" decreased by 3.6 percentage points, which is due to the
shift of managers' expectations about the business situation of
the enterprises over the next six months from "better" towards
preserving "the same". With regard to the demand for services
the present tendency is assessed as slightly improved, while a
certain pessimism is observed in the expectations over the next
three months .
