Avalanche in  Vitosha Mountain  Kills Two

Sofia, January 21 (BTA) - The bodies of two tourists, buried by an avalanche, were found this morning in the Vitosha Mountain, said the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) on Thursday.

Fourteen rescuers and two rescue dogs conducted the search for the two tourists, who were climbing from the Aleko Chalet towards a ski flit's upper station. Numerous avalanches were reported in the area.

The victims told their friends that they were at the lift's upper station at around midnight and that they will be back in Sofia in two hours. They were reported missing at 4:00 am after failing to appear.

According to the MRS, there is no avalanche risk for the processed ski slopes.
