Bulgarian-Greek Teams Control Cross-Border Traffic
 
 Sofia, August 5 (BTA) - Joint Bulgarian-Greek teams are conducting a  road traffic control campaign along the two countries' common border  between August 5 and October 30, the Interior Ministry in Sofia said on  Friday.
 
 The officers are watching for possible speeding and overtaking offences,  drink driving, invalid driver and vehicle licences, goods smuggling,  and trafficking in illegal migrants.
 
 The joint checks are being carried out on a reciprocal basis at the  border crossings of Koulata/Promachonas, Ilinden/Exochi,  Zlatograd/Thermes, Makaza/Nymfaia, Ivailovgrad/Kyprinos and  Svilengrad/Ormenio. According to an approved schedule, Bulgarian traffic  police are taking part in checks in Greece while Greek officers are  helping patrols organized by the regional directorates of the Bulgarian  Interior Ministry in Blagoevgrad, Smolyan, Kurdjali and Haskovo.
