Socialists Want Consultative Council on National Security Convened over EU-Turkey Agreement

Sofia, August 29 (BTA) - The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) wants Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to be heard in Parliament and the Consultative Council on National Security (CCNS) convened over the agreement between Turkey and the EU, Bulgaria's role and the protection of national interests, BSP leader Kornelia Ninova said during a Monday news conference at her party's headquarters.

"To us it is obvious that right now Turkey is extorting the EU, and our Prime Minister is the spokesperson of this extortion," Ninova said. This is why the socialists want the arguments heard in Parliament, and the CCNS to come out a responsible national position.
