Bulgaria Represented at Logistics Symposium in Berlin

Berlin, November 10 (BTA) - Bulgaria has, for the first time, set up an information booth at the biggest annual symposium of BVL, the German supply chain and logistics union, underway in Berlin.

The booth at the event, running between November 9 and 11, was set up by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), the Agency said in a statement. Officials from the InvestBulgaria Agency are also participating at the forum.

The BVL network unites more than 10,000 leaders and experts in logistics and supply chain management.

The official opening of the symposium - mottoed "The New Normal" - was attended by Bulgarian Ambassador to Germany Radi Naidenov and BSMEPA Deputy Executive Director Nikola Stoyanov.

The Bulgarian participation at the event - aiming to showcase the country's economy, attract investors and potential partners in a bid to boost exports, is financed under the EU-backed Competitiveness Operational Programme (2014-2020).

The current edition of the forum in Berlin is focused on the unpredictable economic developments and the risks associated with the slowdown of the Chinese economy, the geo-political crisis in the Middle East, the financial situation in oil-exporting countries, all of which poses a challenge to export-oriented economies.
