Sofia City Court Ex-President Receives Unappealable Sentence for Unlawful Surveillance Warrants
Sofia, April 20 (BTA) - In a conclusive decision by the Supreme Court of Cassation, the former president of the Sofia City Court, Vladimira Yaneva, received a one-year suspended prison sentence with three-year probation and a fine of 1,000 leva for unlawfully authorizing the use of special surveillance means.
It was the last court instance to try her case and the sentence is unappealable.
Another defendant in the case, the former head of the Interior Ministry Security Department Todor Kostadinov, was ordered to pay a fine of 3,000 leva.
