PM Borissov Attends Working Meeting to Achieve Alignment Reducing Administrative Weight

Sofia, June 16 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Friday presided at a working meeting with representatives of local authorities, state institutions and branch organisations. Borissov underscored to need to synchronise municipalities and municipal administrations to reduce the administrative weight on business and citizens.

In the case of administrative burden and when people lose days to get the required documents, this causes anxiety and a sense of corruption and tensions in the public. Borissov said he wants to see efforts to avoid such occurrence. One month is the longest time to undertake statutory changes to relieve pressure on business, the PM said.

Deputy PM Tomislav Donchev said the government is focused on reducing administrative burden and providing integrated e-services. A joint initiative to absorb the first 12 registers of official quotations will be launched next week.

When the next ten or 15 registers are ready, they will be followed by a second package of services and so on, the PM said.  The process should be implemented at maximum speed.
