Bourgas, August 5 (BTA) - The foreign tourists having visited Bulgaria in January-June 2017 exceed 3.3 million marking a growth of around 8 per cent, Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova said during the discussion "For Cleaner Sea Tourism" here on Saturday.

There is a growth both of tourists and revenues in the Bourgas Region. It was visited by 340,000 foreign tourists in January-June, which is 3 per cent up compared to last year. Minister Angelkova also said that sea tourism accounts for more than 70 per cent of the overall revenues in tourism.

The checks along the beaches will continue through the whole season. The most frequent violation involves inadequate number of lifeguards. The Minister also said that a working group will come up with proposals on how to regulate types of camping and the licensing requirements in regards to it by September 15 at the latest.
