site.btaSocialists Tables Bill on Electionof State, Municipal-Owned Enterprises

Sofia, October 10 (BTA) - The parliamentary group of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) for Bulgaria will table a bill regulating the election of the boards of state- and municipal-owned enterprises, the left said against the backdrop of recent accusations for the appointment of relatives in the state sector.

BSP for Bulgaria Deputy Floor Leader Dragomir Stoinev recalled that the bill was tabled in the previous parliament and that it had been rejected then. The bill also includes municipal-owned enterprises, he recalled. That is the scene of the greatest corruption covering the needs of local GERB elites.

The positions on the boards of state and municipal-owned enterprises should be taken by professionals after a competition and those people should be changed only if they do not fulfill the business plan outlined at their appointment, not at the change of the relevant minister, he noted.
