Sofia, March 1 (BTA) - The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov and of Albania Edi Rama conferred here on Thursday. Talks focused on the significance of Corridor VIII which connects the Black and the Adriatic Sea, the government information service said. The two met ahead of a meeting between Western Balkan leaders and European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, hosted by Borissov.
Borissov and Rama concurred that the construction of the rail links, the motorway between Sofia, Skopje and Tirana and of a 5G network and a broadband connections should go ahead simultaneously.
The two noted the excellent bilateral relations and political dialogue. "The development of good neighbourly relations and the Albania's constructive role in the region, based on European and Euro-Atlantic values continue to be a priority, " said Borissov, adding that the internal political processes in Albania prove the strategic European choice of the country and its citizens.
