Sofia, July 24 (BTA) - A state of emergency has been declared in Teteven Municipality (North Central Bulgaria) due to torrential rains, which have claimed one life, the Bulgarian National Radio reported Tuesday.

According to meteorological data, 99 l/sq m fell in the area.

The heavy rains affected the villages of Glogovo and Gradezhnitsa the most, flooding houses, disrupting communications and destroying bridges.
