A forum entitled "Career and Life - Why in Bulgaria?", organized by the Bulgaria Wants You platform of producers Ivan Hristov and Andrey Arnaudov, opened in the building of the Royal Geographical Society in London on Sunday. More than 1,500 people have registered on the platform as attending the event and 25 companies have stands at the venue.

This is the second time the event has been held in London. "Last year's event was so successful and emotional that we are here with you again!," Ivan Hristov said.

"Dear friends, we are not going to try to talk you into returning to Bulgaria at any cost. We live in a free world, it is so easy and fast to travel. One should live where one feels happy," Hristov and Arnaudov said. They added that there are stands offering many jobs in Bulgaria, the idea being to help all Bulgarians who do not feel good abroad to return home.

Athlete Ivet Lalova-Collio, actor Dimitar Rachkov and confectionery chef Ivan Alexandrov gave talks.

Dimitar Dimitrov, who directed Gundi: Legend of Love, and actress Alexandra Svilenova, who is starring in the film, are guests at the forum. The film about Bulgarian football legend Georgi "Gundi" Asparuhov who died in a car accident in 1971 premiered in London on Saturday night. Hristov and Arnaudov are the film's producers.

Bulgaria's Ambassador to the UK, Tihomir Stoytchev, and Krasimir Kiryakov, Counsellor, Head of the Embassy's Commercial Section, were among the official guests.

Kiryakov said advertising his country is the best part of his job. He added that Bulgaria offers many opportunities for development.

A video about the history of Bulgarian immigration to Britain screened at the forum cited unofficial Foreign Ministry data which put the number of Bulgarians at 400,000.
