The children’s folk group Malkite Priyateli from London will present a dance from the Thracian folklore region at the 11th edition of the traveling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance, set to take place from May 15 to 17 at BMW Park in Munich.

One of the group's founders, Tanya Petrova, said that the performance brings to life a playful dance contest between young men and women, full of spirit, dynamics and distinctive stage presence.

She also spoke about the history of the group, which was established in 2014 by her and Petko Pramatarov. According to her, the training process is tailored to the children’s age and aims to develop not only their dance skills but also discipline, teamwork and respect for tradition.

She added that this combination turns every stage appearance into a real experience, both for the performers and the audience.

The travelling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance is organized by and for amateur folklore ensembles performing outside Bulgaria. The initiative was launched by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted both the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. More than 100 dance ensembles and over 4,000 guests are expected at the 11th edition in Munich in May. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is the official media partner of the event and will present all participants.
