A welcoming ceremony for the military research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421) after its first expedition to Antarctica will be conducted by the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna on Tuesday morning. The event will be attended by President Rumen Radev, caretaker Minister of Defence Dimitar Stoyanov, caretaker Minister of Education and Science Sasho Penov and Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.

The ceremony will mark the return of RSV 421, after it successfully completed Bulgaria's 31st Antarctic expedition to the St. Kliment Ohridski Bulgarian Antarctic base on Livingston Island, part of the South Shetlands Archipelago.

BTA's Daily News editor Konstantin Karagyozov is the only member of the media who is travelling on board the ship to Livingston Island and back and covered the Bulgarian expedition on site throughout its stay in Antarctica.

All media outlets can use the Bulgaria-Antarctica BTA's Log for free.
