Light from the star Epsilon Indi A, whose position is indicated by star symbols, is blocked by a coronagraph allowing the orbiting planet to be visible. An international team led by Max Planck Institute for Astronomy’s Elisabeth Matthews in Germany collected the images in 2023 and published their findings Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in the journal Nature.
