A total of 58 people were detained across Turkiye under the Bozdogan-33 police operation for involvement in the preparation of provocations on the occasion of Labor Day, May 1, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said Tuesday on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter.

Bozdogan-33 was carried out in a total of 11 Turkish regions: İstanbul, Diyarbakır, Adana, Antalya, Bilecik, Mardin, Batman, Mugla, Mus, Sanlıurfa and Van.

In Antalya and Izmir four suspects were arrested for carrying out propaganda in favour of left-wing terrorist organizations through their social media accounts. 

The Interior Minister said that the authorities will not allow a single terrorist to be tolerated. With the permanent efforts of the security forces, the resolute fight will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized for the sake of peace, unity and solidarity of our people, Ali Yerlikaya wrote.

On Monday, the Interior Minister announced that authorities ban demonstrations on the occasion of Labor Day in Istanbul's central Taksim Square.
