Traffic is heavy for trucks at some of the border crossings with Romania and Turkiye, the Interior Ministry's Border Police General Directorate said on its website. The information is as of 6:00 am Wednesday morning. 

At the Romanian border, traffic is heavy at the Vidin and Oryahovo border crossing points (BCPs) for trucks at the exit. The Ruse Regional Road Directorate has informed that from May 13 to 31, 2024, emergency repairs will be carried out on the bridge over the Danube between Ruse and Giurgiu. A temporary traffic organization will be introduced. The repair works will be carried out during daylight hours and traffic will be carried out in one lane with a pass-through regime and will be regulated by traffic signs and signals.

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points at the border with Greece. Only cars and minibuses may pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points.

Traffic at the border with Serbia is normal at all border crossing points. Construction and modernization works are being carried out at the Kalotina checkpoint. It requires temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganization of the traffic of vehicles passing through. 

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points on the border with North Macedonia.

Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo BCPs for outbound trucks.
