513 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 11%


Sofia, October 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 505,994, after 4,603 tests identified 513
new infections on Sunday, 87.52 per cent of which were of
unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
11.14 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 118 positive
tests, followed by Pernik, Plovdiv and Rousse regions with 23
cases each and Bourgas and Sofia regions with 22 cases each.

The active cases are 45,853. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 5,248, including 462 in intensive care. Of the
183 new hospital admissions, 87.43 per cent were not vaccinated.

The infected medical staff have reached 14,546, including 4,105
doctors, 4,904 nurses and 2,470 orderlies.

Another 516 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 439,103.

Forty-three fatalities were reported (93.02 per cent
unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 21,038.

With 1,284 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,550,279
vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,337,228 people
are fully vaccinated. RY/LG
