site.btaTeodor Sheytanov Is Recognized for Paris Olympics Work
The Secretary General of the European Equestrian Federation, Theodor Sheytanov, was recognized for his work during the Paris Olympics, where he was the main course designer in the equestrian discipline of the modern pentathlon competitions.
The Bulgarian was awarded at a special ceremony in Riyadh during the General Assembly of the International Modern Pentathlon Union.
Sheytanov is the first Bulgarian with such an award and the last, as the equestrian sport has been dropped from the modern pentathlon program. As of 2025, the obstacle course discipline – will replace horse riding in pentathlon.
