The seventeenth edition of the specialized agricultural exhibition BATA AGRO 2025 opened with a blessing for health by clergy from the Stara Zagora Diocese at the airfield near Stara Zagora, the organizers of BATA AGRO said on Monday.

Some 206 companies will showcase the latest agricultural machinery and technological innovations over more than 37,000 square metres of exhibition space during the five-day event. Exhibitors include global manufacturers of farming equipment, suppliers of seeds, fertilisers and crop-protection products, as well as firms providing spare parts, maintenance, financial and consulting services, vehicle suppliers and other agricultural solutions.

“It is an honour to open BATA AGRO 2025, the region’s largest agricultural exhibition, which this year marks its 15th anniversary,” Agriculture Minister Georgi Tahov said. “The event has become a leading platform where innovation, professionalism and a vision for the future converge,” he added.

“Today we celebrate 15 years since the inaugural edition of BATA AGRO in 2010. Over that period the exhibition has grown into the region’s largest forum for professional dialogue, technological progress and sustainable partnerships in the agricultural sector. The event is the result of a shared vision, sustained effort and a commitment to the future of Bulgarian agriculture. Farm modernisation does not merely follow market trends; it shapes them. Investing in new machinery, smart solutions and intelligent technology is an act of vision,” BATA AGRO Chair Daniel Minev said.

Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Municipality Radostin Tanev also addressed the attendees.

BATA AGRO is held outdoors and will again stage live demonstrations of agricultural equipment and technologies, allowing farmers to test-drive machines and observe their performance in real field conditions.

Official importers of world-renowned brands of agricultural equipment traditionally take part, alongside dozens of other sector companies offering irrigation systems, seeds, fertilisers, crop-protection products, spare parts and tools. Consulting firms, financial and banking institutions, the automotive industry and heavy-construction machinery businesses are also represented. This year’s edition features strong international participation with collective stands from Poland, Argentina and Ukraine, BATA AGRO added.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, Jacek Czerniak, and Bulgarian Deputy Agriculture Minister Lozana Vasileva were among those who attended the meeting.
