The Total Producer Price Index in Industry fell by 1.4% in October 2024 compared to the previous month, the National Statistical Institute reported (NSI) on Friday. The Index also went down by 1.3% compared to the same month in 2023.
A decrease of 12.1% was registered in the prices of electricity, heat and gas production and supply, while prices in the mining and quarrying industry rose by 6.8%. Price in the manufacturing industry rose by 1.5%.
The Producer Price Index on the Domestic Market decreased by 3% in October 2024 year-on-year. Domestic prices fell by 9.4% in the electricity, heat and gas production and supply. An increase of 2.6% was reported in the mining and quarrying industry. An increase of 0.7% was registered in the manufacturing industry.
The Total Producer Price Index went down by 1.3% in October 2024 year-on-year. The price of electricity, heat and gas supply dropped by 11.1%. A 26.5% increase was registered in the mining and quarrying industry. The manufacturing industry saw a 0.4% increase.
The Producer Price Index on the Domestic Market decreased by 3.1% compared to October 2023. The prices fell by 8.9% in the electricity, heat and gas supply. A 1.1% drop was registered in the manufacturing industry. The mining and quarrying industry saw a 16.9% increase.
In July 2024, the NSI started publishing Producer Prices Indices in Industry by base year 2021 = 100 in accordance with the EU requirements.
