site.btaTwo Cameralia Concerts Highlight Richard Strauss's Chamber Music for Strings and Piano

The second and the third concert of the Cameralia international festival at the Sofia City Art Gallery highlight Richard Strauss's chamber music for strings and piano in what is its premiere for Bulgaria, the organizers said on Thursday. This year marks the German composer's 160th birth anniversary and 75 years since his death.

The concert on September 29 will present chamber music for strings and piano by Richard Strauss presented by an all-Bulgarian ensemble comprising Stoimen Peev (violin), Rumen Tsvetkov (viola), Atanas Krastev (cello) and Ludmil Angelov (piano), who is the chairman of the Piano Extravaganza Foundation and artistic director of Cameralia.

The festival is on the 2024 Cultural Events Calendar of Sofia Municipality and is supported by the Spanish Embassy in Bulgaria and the Italian Cultural Institute, among other institutions.
