Law enforcement authorities are ruthlessly investigating opposition figures while remaining silent about those in power, President Rumen Radev told journalists in Kazanlak on Friday, commenting on the recent arrest of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev. According to him, the inadequate actions of the incumbent majority foster divisions, prompting thousands to protests against selective justice
"The law enforcement bodies are ruthlessly investigating the opposition but remain silent when it comes to those in power," Radev said. "The government's inadequate actions are deepening divisions in society, while thousands of citizens are protesting against selective justice."
“This leads to other consequences, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to deceive Europe about what is happening here. We are all now seeing clearly that democracy in our country is a facade, the government is just a backdrop for the Peevski-Borissov duo, and justice is applied selectively,” he said
President Radev was in Kazanlak to visit the Arsenal plant.
