Movement for Rights and Freedoms – New Beginning (MRF-New Beginning) Floor Leader Delyan Peevski told journalists in Parliament on Thursday that, in his view, the October 27, 2024 parliamentary elections were fair. He explained that the elections were not annulled, but only a recalculation of the results was required. “If anything had been unfair in the elections, they would have been canceled”, Peevski said, emphasizing that the elections were 100% honest.

When asked about the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms  - MRF (DRF-MRF) parliamentary group’s claim that the elections were unfair, Peevski referred to them as "not true Members of Parliament, but bullies", adding that they will not be in Parliament in the next elections. “The people saw that they are only here to defend a group of elites, their interests and their immunities. In places they no longer have any voters,” Peevski added.

Regarding the stability of the current Government, Peevski stated that the ruling majority is working and listening to what needs to be done for the people. He added that the Government will be removed by the people if it fails to meet their needs. Peevski also emphasized that a government is elected to serve the people, and promised that his government would do so when he becomes Prime Minister.
