The caretaker government has adopted a provision approving additional expenditure under the Ministry of Interior's budget for 2024, the Council of Ministers press service reported on Wednesday. The additional expenditure of up to BGN 7 million under the Ministry of Interior's budget for 2024 will support activities related to the state border, including repairs and upgrades, as well as a radar system for the detection and classification of low-flying objects up to 3,000 metres.
On October 7, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and other members of the Cabinet inspected the Bulgarian-Turkish border barrier. Later, Glavchev reported that no part of the barrier has been compromised, and even when the structure gets compromised, it takes just hours to fix it.
