site.btaUPDATED It's High Time The Game of Votes Series Ended, We All Want Regular Government, Says PM Glavchev
Opening Wednesday's regular government meeting, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said, “It is high time this “Game of Votes” series came to an end, people are waiting for the end credits, and it would be best if they see the inscription The End”.
“The first task of the caretaker government is organizing fair and transparent elections,” Glavchev pointed out.
“We all want a regular government to be formed which is stable and which can solve the problems of the Bulgarian citizens with the necessary political support. To this end, in addition to messages that appeal to voters, we as a caretaker government are committed to ensuring that there are no suspicions of vote distortions or vote buying,” the caretaker Prime Minister further said.
“Having the experience from the previous elections, we have focused our attention on increasing the measures that are taken against vote buying, which is the task of the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor's Office, and in terms of the voting machines - by the Ministry of e-Government,” Dimitar Glavchev said.
He urged citizens to vote in the upcoming early parliamentary elections on October 27 in order to reduce the weight of any potential bought votes.
Glavchev also pointed out that the other goal of the caretaker cabinet is to preserve Bulgaria's European orientation.
