The Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) is monolithic and diverse, Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB) Chair Atanas Atanassov said on Wednesday. He added the within the coalition “some are louder, others quieter in their intentions”. He spoke at a joint briefing with Continue the Change Co-chair Kiril Petkov and MP Bozhidar Bojanov.

On Tuesday it became clear that DSB and Yes, Bulgaria will remain in the CC-DB coalition.

"We stand in front of the Bulgarian voters and we want a mandate for the establishment of a regular government to end the political crisis," Atanassov said. "We are in the process of updating our program, we will finish in a week," he added.

"Bulgaria lags behind - Romania gets visa-free travel to the US. We want to create an anti-corruption and Euro-Atlantic majority to elect a government. If we do not have enough MPs, we will turn to all those who want to support our plan," Atanassov explained.

"We need to rebuild the Bulgarian security bodies because there are many challenges from outside that we have nothing to face with," he added.

"We stand together because together we are stronger. We are appearing [at the elections] together because the whole society and our community expects to be represented by a coalition that is strong and to declare that the future of Bulgaria depends on it," said Petkov. "We have a plan how to overcome the political crisis. We have already stated the idea of a non-partisan economist or lawyer to give that fresh start that this parliament could not," he explained.
