The Finance Ministry will keep working on the top national priorities: acceding to the eurozone, drafting the state budget for 2025 and implementing the budget for 2024, caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova told journalists on Tuesday after the second caretaker government of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev took the oath of office earlier in the day.
According to Petkova, the new caretaker government should have no problem carrying out its main mission of organizing the next parliamentary elections. "As Minister of Finance, I have secured the funding necessary for the early elections to the 51st National Assembly," she said, adding that the funding amounts to BGN 120 million.
Discussions are beginning on the budget for next year, the Finance Minister said.
