"Soon you will know who split up the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. It was Mr Cash," MRF leader Delyan Peevski told journalists in the National Assembly on Wednesday. Asked whether he meant that President Rumen Radev did it, Peevski said: "Exactly."

He said there is an MRF of Mr Cash and there is an MRF of Peevski (himself). "There is no other MRF, the others are subordinate to Radev," Peevski added.

He went on to say: "The boss is Mr Cash, he is in charge, everyone in this game is a pawn of Radev. Yesterday, he tried to use his pawns in CC-DB to orchestrate an ouster of the Parliament Chair."

According to Peevski, the underlying reason is that President Radev wants to install a convenient prime minister within the limits set by the December 2023 amendments to the Constitution. The main goal, Peevski said, is for the President's domestic policy adviser Nikolai Koprinkov and his former legal affairs and anti-corruption adviser Plamen Uzunov to take control of the Interior Ministry.

Peevski said that Radev's "nice little party", which is a secret for now, is supposed to enter Parliament to prepare a convenient seat which Radev can take after his presidential term expires - "he does not have the courage to come forward yet".

Peevski was also asked to comment on a Free Europe interview with DB co-leader Hristo Ivanov, in which he spoke about tactical actions with MRF Honorary Chair Ahmed Dogan and the GERB party against Peevski's influence. Peevski said that Ivanov has found in Dogan a man to have coffee with, and the two are "kin".
