Currently there is no danger of explosions in the warehouses for fireworks and pyrotechnics, which were burning earlier this week near Elin Pelin, said at a briefing to journalists in the village of Gara Elin Pelin (Western Bulgaria) caretaker Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. He assured that there was no air pollution and everything in the area was calm. The warehouses are secured, Stoyanov stressed.

The rumblings inside continue, at times they are quite intense, Stoyanov said. "It strikes me that they are more muffled, which means they are most likely in a closed room," the Minister said. He explained that the purpose of Sunday's inspection was to identify the bodies, which have yet to be identified.

Sofia District Prosecutor Natalia Nikolova said that inspections of the warehouses had begun in the presence of experts from the Specialized Counter Terrorism Unit, a forensic medic, a representative of the company owner of the site and the fire brigade. Nikolova added that the bodies have been taken for autopsy, which is expected to be ready on Monday. One of the bodies is definitely that of a man, Nikolova said, referring to the conclusion of the forensic medic who was present at the examination.

Stoyanov reported that the boy, who was in the warehouse and managed to save himself, had called 112. "The boy is really lucky. He was present, in his own words, for 10, 15 to 20 minutes at everything that was going on inside. During that period of time, he called 112 and the colleagues told him they know about the case, teams are on the way and that this was the second call," the Minister said.
