An exhibition, presenting artworks by Tsvetan Stoyanov (1961 – 2021), will be on display at the Academia Gallery in Sofia between February 26 and March 17, the National Art Gallery said on Wednesday. The spiritual, the transcendent and the sacred are among the highlights of the exhibition, titled "In Search of the Sacred".

The exhibition features paintings and drawings created over the past two decades. The artworks show the multiplicity in the transformations of substantial geometric elements, natural structures, cultural artifacts, the organizers said.

Tsvetan Stoyanov graduated from the National School of Fine Arts and the National Art Gallery with mural painting. He had 20 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad and won numerous awards for his drawings and paintings.
