Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on the X platform that he had thanked Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov for his powerful speech in the European Parliament and Bulgaria’s support for Ukraine.
“While in Zaporizhzhya, I spoke with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and thanked him for his powerful speech in the European Parliament as well as his government’s principled stance on supporting Ukraine. I informed the Prime Minister about Ukraine’s current defense needs, particularly regarding the strengthening of our air force and artillery. I stressed the importance of unity in supporting Ukraine's European integration, as well as EUR 50 billion in multi-year assistance. I also invited Bulgaria to send its representative to the next round of Peace Formula talks, which is scheduled for early next year,” wrote Zelenskyy on X.
The Bulgarian Justice Ministry has already joined Ukraine’s Peace Formula.
In his address to the nation, quoted by Ukrinform, President Zelenskyy said: “Today, I spoke with the leaders of Germany, Olaf Scholz, the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, and Bulgaria, Nikolay Denkov. We have reasons to be grateful to our partners. All of our agreements are being put into action. We also coordinated new joint steps to protect our people, our Europe, and the international order. I am grateful to everyone around the world who supports Ukraine!”
In Zaporizhzhya Zelenskyy had a meeting with military leaders and a national meeting on fortifications.
