Israelis Like Bourgas
in Spite of 2012 Bourgas Terrorist
Attack

Bourgas, on the Black Sea, November 19 (BTA) - The number of
Israeli tourists visiting the southern Black Sea coast is
growing. This year they were 1,640 more than the 99,640 in 2013,
Israeli Honorary Consul in Bourgas, Orlin Mandov, told
journalists on Wednesday.

"In spite of the enormous tragedy which took place at Sarafovo
airport on July 18, 2012, in which five Israeli citizens and one
Bulgarian were killed, Bourgas and the region are still a
favoured destination for tourists from Israel," Mandov said.

This year's expectations were for more tourists but charter
flights were cancelled at the height of the season because of
problems in Israel. Initial bookings showed that summer visitors
from that country would have exceeded 100,000.

This year the first charter flight from Israel arrived on April
3 and the last one is leaving on November 20.
