Parliament Increases Health Insurance Fund's

Sofia, November 26 (BTA) - Parliament approved a 100-million-lev
increase in this year's budget of the National Health Insurance
Fund (NHIF) on second reading on Wednesday.

The increase breaks down as follows: 25 million leva for home
treatment medicines paid by the NHIF, 15 million leva for cancer
medicines, 50 million leva for hospital treatment, and 10
million leva for medical products used in hospital treatment.

The update for 2014 is to offset a shortfall in health insurance
contributions to the NHIF budget.
