site.btaSamokov Tourist Association Organizes Climb to Mount Musala for 99th Anniversary of Rila Mountain Day

The Rila Tourist Association in Samokov organizes a festive climb of Mount Musala on August 4 on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Rila Mountain Day, the association's secretary, Anna Mancheva, told BTA on Friday.

The association advises all interested parties to be well equipped for the mountain conditions, as well as to have valid travel insurance. Participants must walk only along the marked roads and paths, avoid traveling alone and have fully charged batteries on their mobile devices throughout the day. The presence of a medic and police team will be assured throughout the day.

A festive programme with the participation of the children from the Samokov community centre will also be held at the Musala Hut.
