The Constitutional Court (CC) rejected a request by President Rumen Radev to establish the unconstitutionality of a text of the Act on Control over the Implementation of Restrictive Measures in View of Russia's Actions Destabilizing the Situation in Ukraine, said the court on Thursday. The decision of the magistrates was adopted unanimously.

On April 8, the head of State's press office said that President Rumen Radev had appealed to the Constitutional Court to terminate the Rosenets oil port terminal concession. Decisions in the field of energy must always rest on the need for reliability and continuity of supplies of raw materials and the guarantee of affordable prices for citizens and industry. The price for hasty and thoughtless decisions is always paid from the pockets of those forced to bear their consequences," President stated in his reasons.

On July 21, the National Assembly voted to suspend the concession for the Rosenets oil ort terminal, as well as for the Minister of Energy to start negotiations on the terms and conditions under which the Bulgarian Energy Holding would acquire up to 20% in the consortium holding exploration agreement of oil and natural gas in the Block I-21 Khan Asparuh area.
